A Message From TAAP's President
A Message From the TAAP President

Welcome to TAAP, NAADAC, and your local chapter!

As we embark on a new year, I am honored and humbled to serve as the President of the Texas Association of Addictions Professionals. Together, we stand at the forefront of an important journey—one that encompasses healing, support, and the relentless pursuit of a brighter, healthier future for individuals and communities grappling with addiction.

Our association has a rich history of dedication to the cause of addiction recovery, and it is with immense pride that I step into the role of President. I want to express my gratitude for the trust you have placed in me and my commitment to steering our collective efforts toward making a lasting impact in the lives of those affected by addiction.

As we navigate the evolving landscape of addiction treatment and recovery, we must embrace progress and innovation. The challenges we face are dynamic, and it is through collaboration and adaptability that we will continue to be effective advocates for change. I encourage each member to bring forth their ideas, experiences, and perspectives, contributing to the diverse tapestry that makes our association so robust.

This year, our focus remains steadfast on fostering professional growth and excellence within our community. We will strive to provide valuable resources, educational opportunities, and a supportive network for all our members. By nurturing a culture of continuous learning and open dialogue, we can empower each other to be catalysts for positive transformation.

Additionally, community outreach and engagement will be key pillars of our efforts. By actively participating in initiatives that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote prevention, we can extend our influence beyond the confines of our profession. Let us be the advocates who amplify the voices of those who seek recovery, fostering a society that understands, supports, and embraces the journey to sobriety.

Our association is only as strong as its members, and I am confident that, together, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way. Let us strive for inclusivity, compassion, and resilience as we work towards a Texas where the impact of addiction is minimized, and the hope for recovery is accessible to all.

I look forward to a year filled with collaboration, innovation, and progress. Your dedication is what fuels the engine of positive change, and I am excited to witness the incredible strides we will make together.

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your President. Here's to a year of growth, compassion, and collective achievement.

Warm regards,

Joseph Gorordo President Texas Association of Addictions Professionals
